My name is Tess. I use she/her pronouns.
My career started with graphic design, moved to public libraries, and I’m looking for a career that can bridge my interests, skills, and keep me on my toes learning more!
Each of my experiences has been a stepping stone in preparing me for the next big thing.
Librarianship honed my customer service, collaboration, and communication skills. The design thinking skills I developed as a graphic designer paved the way to creative problem-solving with clients and library patrons. The empathy I’ve experienced through working in non-profits and the public library encourages me to always put the user first. I am adaptable by nature but these skills improved exponentially when the pandemic started and our library had to change service models and create new ones to support our community. Working with people from different backgrounds and with different abilities has strengthened my communication skills, both written and verbal. I am a lifelong learner and cherish every opportunity to experience something new. I am excited to take my hard-earned skills to the next level. Will you join me?
